Stupidity from the BBC

Following quote is from this page:

Chairman of the National Obesity Forum, Dr Colin Waine, said anyone doing 30 minutes of exercise daily should not worry that they were not taking enough exercise.

"We are talking about something like brisk walking, or it could be swimming or even dancing, but it's best if you chose something you enjoy," he said.

But someone wanting to lose weight would have to do 90 minutes of exercise a day, he added.

90 mins of exercise a day to lose weight? What planet are these people from? Diet is how you lose weight - exercise can help, either creating a bigger calorie deficit, or helping to retain lean mass and increase the metabolism. Usually the BBC are better than this, and its appalling info to be coming from the national obesity forum! (I exercise for 45 mins 3 times a week, and have lost nearly 25% of my body weight in fat in 6 months).

Anyway, things are going well, a good week so far food wise, missed the gym on Monday but will still get 2 workouts in this week, so that's OK.
