Stayed the same this week - I spent the whole weekend at my cousins wedding, so that involed a meal, some beer, no gym etc. Pretty happy that I maintained and I had an enjoyable time. Anyway, Congratulations to Steve and Kirsty Hammond!

A quick summary then if you are new -
I started August 2005 at 231 lb - 16 Stone 7 lb
I am now (October 2006) at 153 lb - 10 Stone 13 lb
Thats 78 lb or 5 and 1/2 stone gone :-)

This is one of the most inspirational blogs on losing weight, that I've seen.
The difference for most people trying to lose weight is actually taking action, and most importantly sustaining this for a period of time.
The fact that you've been at it for over a yea is exceptional.

Similarly, i used to be an athlete and in top shape, until i retired and put on masses of weight.
Had a similar experience and just decided enough was enough, I didn't recognise myself.

I wish I had recorded my progress like you have.

This is horrible. I’ve almost been giving up lately on my efforts to lose weight but I am getting there. I am determined to do it. I have been reading lots of blogs and people stories about weight loss. This is one of my favorites, along with this other site http://www.happyandhealthybody.com
