Firefox, but Faster
Started using optimised Firefox Builds from Moox. This guy compiles firefox daily builds with optimisations for various X86 architectures. I use the M3 build, which is for SSE2 processors (P4 and AMD64). Its certainly feels faster at work on the 2mb leased line.

Most popular search term: Yugo

I have 82 search engine hits on my website this month for the keyword yugo. Its the most popular search term on my site which is kind of strange. Usually Xbox related stuff turns up top, but what the hey.
The Yugo is still going around the world (mine isnt due to being scrapped) and there was even talk of a new one being introduced. As I am getting hits for it I feel I should add some content to it. Project for my week off is to update all this stuff.

ThunderBird 0.8
Thunderbird 0.8 was recently released. Its the e-mail application which complements Mozilla Firefox.
New features in this version include a RSS newsreader like a cutdown version of FeedReader built in - very handy. The other main advantages are security (HTML mail is rendered by mozilla engine not IE), a (effective) spam filter is built in and its light and fast.
Thunderbird is well worth a look. It is much better than Outlook Express and might replace Outlook for some users who dont need the PIM features like todo lists and the exchange compatibility.
I use Thunderbird as a day to day email client and I am quite happy with it. Give it a try.

w.bloggar
Started to play with w.bloggar which lets me use a windows client to update this blog, I was using BlogJet but its now $20. Not worth it in my opinions as there is free stuff like this which does just as well....
In fact this was posted with w.bloggar. Blogjet has a slightly nice WYSIWYG style to it, bu then I like HTML code and I am reasonably good at it so I will not be loosing any sleep over it.
