Quick update
Things have been ok the last 2 weeks - been to the gym 3 tmes a week, eaten healthily all week but been out on the beer both saturdays. Was late this morning so didn't weigh in - but I am around 13 stone 2lb, maybe a little less.
Basically, I am having a little break from pushing hard to lose weight, probably averaging 1lb a week loss, while being able to go out and enjoy myself. After a few weeks of this I will go back to being strict and aim to get this last 15-20lb off by my bithday in May.

Week 12, version 2
Today is the start of the 12th week of my second cycle trough this program, and I think this week marks the end of following this program. I have now got to a point where I am being more active, and the low cal, weights only way of losing weight while very effective, is now not right for me. As of next week I will continue on the same style of diet and weight training, but will increase my calories to 1800 - 2100 per day, cycling up and down and build in some cardio in the form of swimming and cycling.
Weighed in today at 13 stone 3 lb (185lb) - 2lb more gone, and a week that I am happy with. I think I have somewhere around 20lb left to go, or maybe a little less - I will stop when I hit 10% bf or thereabouts, and concentrate and building some muscle.

I hate McDonald's and another week
Spent all day yesterday at a slot car race, so I was very tired and hungry.... Ended up at McDonald's, no problem I thought, I can have one of these new sandwiches, got to be better than a burger right?
I had a Ham Cheese and pepperoni on brown, which they then upsold me to a meal with medium fries and an orange juice.
Only when I got home and checked the website did I realise this:
Sandwich: 616
Fries: 295
OJ: 150
Thats 1061 kcal! I could have had a big mac fries and a coke instead and actually eaten less calories. Forensic examination of the marketing materials shows only one sandwich in the range is actually particularly ok - the chicken salad. Least I remember why I stopped going to McDonald's in the first place.
On another note, I am 13 stone 5lb as of this morning - another pound or so gone, and I swapped the Gym for a 5 1/2 mile walk around the lakes on Saturday, with a good lunch I didn't have to feel guilty about.

Quick Update
Missed my weigh in this week.. Was out in the Lake District again on Monday - had a go at a route of 13 miles with 4500ft of ascent - ended up being 10 1/2 miles with 3500 feet of ascent as we ran late and I was in quite a bit of pain. Read about it on my main blog here.
Today was my first day back at the gym since Xmas - went ok. Couldnt go earlier in the week due to the pain from my crazy walking!
Will weigh in / take pics etc on Monday to stay on routine.
