Week 11
Nearly to the end of my first challenge. Currently around 14 st 10 lb, and back on 3 workouts a week. Things are going well - off work this week and relaxing. Added a tricep exercise to my workout this week as well. Still not doing calf raises as last time I did them I injured my ankle. Intend to do some next week, but bodyweight only and not to failure. Current program looks like this:
Leg Extension
Leg Curl
Dumbell Squat
Calf Raise (skipping due to injury)
Bent Over Row
Dumbbell Bench Press
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Bicep Curl
Skull Crushers (Triceps)
Ab Crunch on floor
One set of each, aiming for 8-12 reps before failure.
Looks like I will lose slightly over 2 stone in the 12 weeks, not as much as I hoped for, but you cant help being ill! I will continue the same program for an extra 3 weeks to see what happens, and then I will have to decide what to do next. I feel like getting the bike out and doing some cardio, while continuing the weight training - but possibly dropping back to 2 sessions a week and changing some of the exercises.
